Sonic Pokémon 3: The Movie - Spell of the Unown (Japanese: 結晶塔の帝王 ENTEI Emperor of the Crystal Tower: Entei; officially Lord of the "Unknown" Tower in Japan) is the third Sonic Pokémon movie.

Spell of the Unown was shown with the Pikachu short Pikachu & Pichu.

Plot

In a mansion in the Johto town of Greenfield, well-known researcher Spencer Hale reads a story about Entei to his daughter Molly. They play around and have fun until being interrupted by an e-mail. Schuyler, Spencer's assistant, says that he has made a discovery in some desert ruins. Spencer heads to these ruins, but during their research, he mysteriously disappears into a portal to another dimension.

Schuyler returns to Greenfield and discusses the sad news with David, the Hale mansion's butler. Molly overhears them from another room and becomes distraught. She takes tiles with mysterious letters out of a box and lays them on the ground, forming the words "papa," "mama," and "me" with them. Suddenly, Dr. Eggman appears, along with Decoe and Bocoe, and introduces himself to Molly. Eggman convinces Molly that he is a colleague of her father and has come to take care of her and ensures her that she will have the "ideal world" she desires. He then takes out the seven Chaos Emeralds, explaining to Molly how valuable and precious the Chaos Emeralds are and what they can do, and they begin to resonate with the letters on the ground. The letters begin to glow, and Eggman activates Chaos Control to open a portal in the ruins where Spencer disappeared. A swarm of Unown emerge from the portal, exit the ruins, and enter another portal caused by Chaos Control up in the night sky. They appear again above Molly and Eggman, and begin covering the inside of the mansion with waves of crystalline structure. Molly is happy to play with them and sincerely thanked Eggman for what he did, but looks at Entei in the storybook and laments her missing father. Eggman then orders the Unown to create her "papa." Fulfilling Molly's desires and Eggman's orders, using the Chaos Emeralds, the Unown create for her an illusionary Entei to be her "papa." Molly becomes overjoyed and embraces Entei with a hug and calls him "papa." Entei, initially confused at first by Molly's remark, willingly embraces its role as Molly's new "papa." Eggman looks on at Molly and Entei and grins silently.

Elsewhere, Ash, Misty, Brock, Sonic, and Tails meet a Pokémon Trainer who introduces herself as Lisa. Ash agrees to have a battle with her, which ultimately ends in a draw. The group, Lisa and their Pokémon have lunch after the battle. Brock asks Lisa if there is a Pokémon Center nearby, and Lisa tells them that there is one in Greenfield. Misty says that she has always wanted to go there, which Lisa states as well. Misty explains that she was told that Greenfield has beautiful fields and a huge mansion. Some time later, when they arrive at the top of a hill on the outskirts of the town, they find much of the town covered in large crystals. Meanwhile, Team Rocket survey Greenfield through binoculars and are just as shocked by the bizarre phenomenon.

As the group walk through Greenfield, a TV news crew reports about the strange things happening in Greenfield and whether it has anything to do with Professor Hale's recent disappearance. G.U.N. and Rouge the Bat also appear at the scene, sent by the Commander to investigate the situation, and creates a blockade around the crystallization. Rouge confronts the group and tells them not to get involved, as she claims that the situation is officially G.U.N. business. In Pallet Town, Ash's mom Delia and Mr. Mime watch the news story. Delia goes to the refrigerator and looks at pictures from years ago that show Professor Oak, herself, and a younger Ash, along with the Hale family. At his lab, Professor Oak watches the news report. Delia meets up with him to talk about what is happening, and he decides to head to Greenfield to investigate. Deila joins him, worried about Spencer and Molly Hale.

At the Pokémon Center, the reporter says that G.U.N. reinforcements have arrived to help solve what is going on. A car pulls up, and Professor Oak and Delia come out, much to everyone's surprise. Back at the mansion, Molly observes their actions through a TV and remembers Delia. She tells Entei and Eggman that she wants to have a mom as well, and Entei and Eggman agree. At that moment, Delia explains to Ash that Spencer used to work at the Pokémon lab with Professor Oak before leaving to become a Pokémon researcher.

Entei runs across the fields, under Eggman's orders and Molly's wishes, crystallizing the ground as it runs toward Ash, Sonic and the group. Pikachu senses something coming and prepares to attack. Entei enters the scene and quickly hypnotizes Delia, making her think she is Molly's mother. Delia faints and falls onto Entei, who takes her and runs off, but not before Pikachu grabs onto its billowing mane. Sonic, Ash, and the group, along with Rouge and several G.U.N. soldiers, try to go after Entei, but it is too fast for them to handle, leaving Sonic as the only one fast enough to catch up with Entei. Pikachu shocks Entei, but it does nothing and Pikachu is thrown to the ground. Sonic catches up with Entei, but is suddenly forced to stop by the forming crystallization (courtesy of Eggman, who was watching from a TV monitor inside the mansion), which allows Entei to escape and Brock stops Ash from chasing after Entei any further since they do not know how dangerous it is. Ash collapses to the ground, frustrated that he could not stop Entei from taking his mom and Sonic laments that he is once again overshadowed by another being that is fast like him (reminiscing his first encounter with Shadow the Hedgehog).

Back inside the mansion, Entei tells Molly that it has brought her what she wished. Delia wakes up, breaking out of her trance, surprised that Molly thinks she is her mother. She is also surprised to find Eggman as well. Delia asks Eggman what he's up to, with Eggman saying that he is acting out of Molly's interests, but Delia doesn't buy it. Entei then hypnotizes Delia again, making her think that she's Molly's mother again. Molly asks Eggman if she, Delia, and Entei can stay together forever, to which Eggman and Entei agree to once again. Eggman then shows Molly that the crystallization is growing bigger, and Molly thinks it is very beautiful. Eggman once again grins silently.

Professor Oak explains to everyone that it was an Entei that took Delia away. Schuyler, who has also met up with them, suggests that the Unown are responsible for creating Entei and the crystallization, and that Molly is inside the mansion somewhere. Tails checks his energy monitor and suggests that the Chaos Emeralds are also involved in the crystallization and Entei's creation.

A TV crew films a bulldozer, piloted by a G.U.N. soldier under Rouge's directions, trying to break down all of the crystals around the mansion, but Molly tells them to go away and the Unown, using the Chaos Emeralds, create more crystals to make the bulldozer crash. The soldier abandons the vehicle and barely escapes being crystallized too, leaving the other G.U.N. soldiers and Rouge frustrated. Shortly afterward, Professor Oak receives an email from Molly claiming that she is together with her "mom and dad", and that everyone should go away and stop bothering them. With her mother and father disappeared, no one understands how this is possible. Sonic looks on at Molly's email, suspecting that there's something behind all of this.

Ash decides to head toward the mansion to rescue his mom. Misty gets Ash to stop, and says they will all go together to the mansion. Lisa gives them a Pokégear so that they can keep in contact with the Pokémon Center. Ash, Sonic and the group head toward the mansion, but G.U.N. stops them from going any further. G.U.N. refuses to allow the group to go into the mansion out of fear for their safety, but Rouge convinces them that she will tag along to watch over them, as well as stating that she will try to gather some information from inside the mansion; the G.U.N. soldiers agree to this and allows them to pass through the blockade and proceed toward the mansion. Sonic, Ash and the gang head to the mansion by walking through a small stream of water that was not crystallized. From their balloon, Team Rocket look on with binoculars, but Entei appears on top of a crystallized hill and uses Fire Blast to dispatch them. Entei returns to the mansion to tell Molly that the intruders are gone, not knowing that Ash, Sonic and their friends continue forth toward the mansion.

The news crew reports that a balloon (Team Rocket's, to be precise) was shot down, and that nothing can get through the crystal formations to reach the mansion. They then spot a Noctowl flying up the waterfall close to the mansion. Noctowl brings Bulbasaur and Chikorita to the top of the waterfall so that the two can pull everyone else up using Vine Whip. Professor Oak notices that Ash is the one climbing up the waterfall, and Lisa explains to him that he is going after his mother.

Molly sees Ash as well, and wonders why he is trying to get into their house. Delia breaks out of her trance again, sees Ash climbing up the waterfall, and yells for him to get down from there. Molly notices Ash's Pikachu and his other Pokémon, and wonders if he is a Pokémon Trainer and has other Pokémon. Delia remains perplexed as to why Molly sees her and Entei as her parents. Eggman, now in a separate room that is acting as the command center, also sees the group getting into the house from his own TV monitor screen, and orders Decoe and Bocoe to prepare the mansion for some "fun."

As Sonic, Ash and the group approach the entrance to the mansion, the Pokégear rings and Ash answers the call. Professor Oak asks Ash what he thinks he is doing. Ash says that he should have talked to him first, and the Professor responds by saying that they will discuss it later. Schuyler tells Ash that they have figured out the cause of these events, explaining that the Unown have the ability to read living creatures' thoughts, including people, and create an alternate reality. He thinks that the Unown made Molly's wishes come true and created the crystal formation. Tails then adds that since the Chaos Emeralds can perform a miracle once all seven of them are gathered, he claims that they also contributed to making Molly's wishes come true, and that they, along with the Unown, are the source of the crystal formation.

Ash and Brock bring out Cyndaquil and Vulpix to create a hole in the crystallized door of the mansion's garden house using Flamethrower, but the hole quickly repairs itself (courtesy of Decoe). They use Flamethrower again, but Misty and Ash send out Staryu and Totodile to keep the hole open with Water Gun. Pikachu, Misty, Rouge, Tails and Brock then enter the hole through the Water Gun torrent. Ash grabs Staryu and Sonic grabs Totodile and they jump through the hole with them before it closes.

A flight of crystallized stairs returns to normal, which Misty thinks is the Unown changing reality (in actuality, it is Bocoe changing reality from behind the scenes using the energy of the Unown and the Chaos Emeralds to trick the group into believing that the Unown is doing this on their own). They continue up the stairs and find themselves in a grassy field (also courtesy of Bocoe). Team Rocket break through the crystallized barrier into the midst of the Unown, which they think they can sneak by without being noticed.

Observing Ash and the group, Entei asks Molly if she wants them to go away, but Molly shakes her head and says that she wants to have a Pokémon battle with them, but does not think she is old enough. Entei says she can have that battle if she so wishes, prompting Molly to fall asleep thinking of having a battle. Entei disappears, which surprises Delia, and heads toward Ash and his friends with Molly on its back. Molly does not think she is old enough to be a Pokémon Trainer, but Entei tells her that she only has to believe that she is, which transforms Molly into an adult.

Molly and Entei meet the group and she asks Ash, Misty and Brock are they Pokémon Trainers. Ash demands to know where his mom is, and Molly says that Ash is no fun at all. Misty comments that this young woman is too old to be Molly, but Brock reminds her that this world was created by the Unown and the Chaos Emeralds from Molly's dreams. Tails adds that the adult Molly is just an illusion created from Molly's dreams and that the real Molly is still somewhere in the mansion. Ash agrees to battle her, but Brock tells him to continue up the stairs while he battles her instead. Entei runs across the field to create a battlefield while Misty, Sonic, Tails, Rouge and Ash run up the stairs.

They decide that it will be a 3-on-3 battle. Brock selects Zubat, whereas a crystal Poké Ball forms in Molly's hand and releases a Flaaffy. Zubat uses Supersonic to confuse Flaaffy, then swoops in with Wing Attack. Flaaffy sways out of the way and responds with Headbutt, which misses. Before Zubat can turn around, Flaaffy takes it out with Thunder Shock. Brock switches in Vulpix and Molly chooses Teddiursa. Teddiursa knocks Vulpix back with Dynamic Punch, but it lands on its feet. The two trade blows using Quick Attack and Fury Swipes, but Teddiursa eventually throws Vulpix to the ground.

Team Rocket run up the stairs after Ash, Sonic, Rouge, Tails and Misty. Vulpix and Teddiursa tackle each other in midair and land, but Vulpix collapses. Brock then releases Onix, so Molly switches to Phanpy. Despite its small size, Phanpy sends Onix flying with Rollout.

Ash, Sonic, and Misty continue up the stairs to the mansion. Delia looks through Molly's storybook and asks her if she has seen it. Molly explains that her father reads it to her every night. Delia looks at the photographs, and asks her if she gets very lonely. Molly says sometimes, but now that she has a mom and dad, she does not feel lonely anymore. Delia then sees a picture of the sun over some flowers, as the next scene shows Ash and Misty in a dream version of that picture, surrounded by the ocean.

The illusionary adult Molly appears in front of Ash, Sonic, Tails, Rouge and Misty, and asks who will be battling her next, with them realizing that Brock has been defeated. Ash volunteers again, but Misty says they should go on while she battles her instead. When Misty reveals that she is a Gym Leader, Molly is surprised that a Trainer does not have to be an adult to run a Gym, and then transforms herself from an adult into a ten-year-old. Misty tells Ash, Sonic and the group that the real Molly must still be at the top of the mansion, and that they should continue on. After Ash, Sonic, Rouge and Tails leave the scene, Misty makes up the rules for the battle: since she is a Water-type Pokémon Trainer, they will only use Water-type Pokémon. A giant wave crashes ashore and turns the beach into a seabed, but they quickly realize that they can breathe underwater since Molly dreamed for that to be possible. Ash continues up the stairwell with Sonic, Rouge, Tails and Pikachu.

Molly brings out Kingdra to battle Misty's Goldeen. Kingdra surrounds Goldeen in Smokescreen and follows up with Headbutt, which Goldeen dodges. Goldeen tries to use Fury Attack, but Kingdra dodges it and knocks Goldeen out with another Headbutt.

James asks Jessie how they are able to breathe underwater, and she says to just keep going and not ask stupid questions. Meowth breaks the fourth wall when he wonders if they will get a bigger part in the next movie.

While continuing up the stairs, Ash, Sonic and the group encounter two stairways going in two separate directions. Rouge suggests they split up and tells Ash, Sonic and Tails that they should go look for Molly while she goes to search for the Chaos Emeralds and the Unown. They don't buy it, suspecting that she's after the Chaos Emeralds for her own interests, but Rouge ensures them that it's a mission assigned to her by G.U.N. Sonic, Tails and Ash agree with her terms and they proceed up the stairs while Rouge head towards the other direction.

Next, Molly's Mantine faces Misty's Staryu. Mantine uses Tackle, but Staryu dodges. Mantine uses Whirlpool to trap Staryu and piles on more damage with Bubble. Staryu uses Rapid Spin to escape the Whirlpool. Mantine and Staryu go back and forth hitting each other with Take Down and Tackle. Ash and Sonic reach the top of the stairs before the battle ends, leaving its outcome unknown.

Ash, Sonic and Tails meet up with Ash's mom, who tells them that Entei left a while ago. Ash explains that it was Entei who brought her there, and that the Unown created this mess from Molly's imagination. He then tells her that they should leave. Delia wakes Molly up and explains to her that she is not her real mother, and that she is really Ash's mom. They tell her that they have to get out of the mansion now, but Molly cries out loud and refuses to go with them.

The Unown create a red light and, resonating with the Chaos Emeralds, which are glowing brighter than before, cause large crystal pillars to appear in Molly's room, separating Molly, Delia, Tails, Sonic and Ash. Ash tries to go with his mom, but Entei shows up and Molly tells it that Ash and Sonic are trying to take her mother away from her. Entei makes a barrier of pillars to separate Ash and Delia.

Entei tells Ash and Sonic to leave the mansion or else they will be forced out, but Ash releases Totodile to battle. Entei asks Ash and Sonic if he thinks he can possibly defeat it, and Ash say that they will not lose to an illusion and Sonic says that he refuses to lose to a mere imposter of the real deal again (referencing to Sonic's first encounter with Shadow the Hedgehog). Totodile uses Water Gun and Sonic launches a Spin Dash, which Entei dodges and answers with Flamethrower, knocking Totodile out and pushing Sonic back. Ash brings out Cyndaquil to attack with Flamethrower, but Entei's Flamethrower easily overpowers Cyndaquil.

Ash and Sonic admit that Entei is strong, but they say that they refuse to lose to an illusion from a little girl's imagination. Entei yells that it is no illusion, roars, and stomps the ground as a blizzard starts to blow inside of the mansion. The crystal pillars grow larger, the Unown's red light grows bigger, the Chaos Emeralds glow even brighter, and the pages of the storybook start flipping. Entei says that it is Molly's father and must protect her. Entei charges as Pikachu uses Thunderbolt and Sonic uses a Homing Attack, with both attacks failing to faze Entei. Entei uses Flamethrower, and they keep attacking each other back and forth and dodging. Delia realizes that only Molly can stop everything by remembering her real mother and father. Eggman, watching the battle from a TV monitor in the command center and joined by Decoe and Bocoe, is pleased with what is happening and claims that Entei is perhaps his greatest creation yet.

Team Rocket come up through the hole and notice how cold the room is. Two attacks cause an explosion, forcing them to duck out of the way.

Entei aims a Fire Blast at an exhausted Pikachu. Ash jumps in to protect him, but Entei's attack blasts them through the wall and they fall. Sonic tries to come to their rescue, but is too slow due to being exhausted from fighting Entei, leading him to lament that for the first time, he wasn't able to save someone using speed alone. Fortunately, Ash and Pikachu are saved by Ash's Charizard, who had seen Ash and the disaster on the news earlier and come from Charicific Valley to help. They go back into the room, with Sonic in relief that they're all right, and Ash explains to Entei that he, his Pokémon, and his friends work together, like a family. Entei threatens to destroy this family. It clashes with Charizard, knocking it into Ash and Sonic. They nearly fall off the edge, but their friends and Team Rocket grab him before he falls. Ash and Tails say to Molly that if she comes with them, that she would be able to have her own Pokémon, but she says that she already has real Pokémon of her own.

Sonic tells Molly that Entei cannot take the place of her real father, but Entei says it is her real father. Entei continues to battle Charizard and Sonic, using Flamethrower constantly. At one point, the Flamethrower attacks between Charizard and Entei create an explosion, scaring Molly and pushing Charizard and Sonic backward. Charizard and Sonic dodge Entei's Fire Blast and trade Flamethrower attacks with it. Charizard even combined its Flamethrower attack with Sonic's Homing Attack to launch a devastating attack on Entei, but to no avail. Entei uses Fire Blast to break a hole in the wall and jumps outside. Charizard, with Ash riding on top of it, and Sonic follow and they continue attacking Entei. Entei jumps and lands on newly-created spikes.

After many Fire attacks, Entei is caught in a Flamethrower, but shakes it off with little effort and lands onto another pillar. Sonic tells Entei that it should not keep Molly captive, and Entei responds that it must do as she wishes. Another clash of Fire Blast and Flamethrower ignites a frightening explosion. Entei uses Fire Blast once more, hitting Charizard and Sonic simultaneously and sending them crashing through the ceiling and back onto the floor of the room. Entei presses on Charizard and Sonic and prepares to finish them off with Fire Blast, with Eggman looking on excitedly, but Molly steps in and begs Entei to stop fighting, which it does, much to Eggman's dismay and suprise.

Brock and Misty explain that she is a great Pokémon Trainer, and that it is important to know when to stop a battle. With her instincts, she could become a Gym Leader some day. Ash says to her that now matter how hard the battles are, they always stay friends. Even though the battles are tough, the friends are real. Sonic adds that even though it sounds nice to be together physically and personally with her family and friends forever, it's something that just can't be done and that they will always be with Molly, regardless of how far apart they may seem from each other. He also adds that everyone must grow up and that it's best to enjoy life in the time that she has, as everything in life has an end. Sonic and Ash then ask her to come with them, which Delia says that this is what her father would want. With this, Molly decided that she wants everything to be real again. The crystallized pillars start disappearing and the Pokémon she battled with disappear as well. As Entei prepares to leave, it explains that it was an illusion created by the Unown, but since Molly wants things to be real again, it must go. Eggman, enraged by Molly and Entei's change of heart and by what he is seeing from the TV screen, decides to finish his plans himself instead of relying on others and bring about the "grand finale."

As the crystallization continues to disappear, it suddenly comes to a stop. Suddenly, Eggman appears before the group from the ceiling with his latest creation, the Egg Dragoon, a robot powered by the energy harnessed from the Unown. Everyone, except Sonic, is surprised to see Eggman, as Sonic had suspected that Eggman was somehow involved from the start. Eggman notes that it is a bit too late for them to stop the crystallization, as he'd taken control of the Unown, the Chaos Emeralds and the crystallization and had them resist Molly's new desires. Eggman then reveals to the group and Molly that he is the mastermind behind Spencer Hale's disappearance, as he'd placed a Chaos Emerald at the Unown ruins to lure Spencer to the ruins and into his trap (Spencer noticed the Chaos Emerald in the ruins that he was researching at with Schuyler and attempted to pick it up, which alerted the Unown of his presence and as an act of protection over the emerald and under Eggman's direction, they sent Spencer into another dimension), and that he has been manipulating Molly the entire time, making her believe that the Unown and the crystallization were acting under her while in actuality, they were acting under Eggman the whole time (although Eggman briefly lost control over them once Molly cried when Ash and Sonic attempted to take her and Delia out of the mansion, but he shrugged it off and entrusted Molly with control over the Unown). Eggman also adds that the crystallization will mark the beginning of the Eggman Empire. Eggman then attempts to grab Molly and take her away as a hostage, but Ash has Pikachu use Thunderbolt to shake Eggman off. Eggman then announces that he has no more use of Molly and Entei and decides to destroy them in revenge for turning their backs on him. He then enters the cockpit of the Egg Dragoon and prepares to have a final showdown with Sonic, Ash, and the group.

Meanwhile, Rouge, having gone her own way, enters a huge hall room and discovers the Unown wielding the Chaos Emeralds and using its energy to create the crystal formation. She deduces that this is the "core" room of the mansion and contacts G.U.N., saying that she found the source of the crystallization. Her superiors then order her to seize the Emeralds, believing that seizing the Emeralds would disrupt the crystallization process and cause the crystal formation to shatter and fall apart, thereby returning Greenfield to normal. Rouge accepts the objective and proceeds to secure the Emeralds, but she is interrupted by the appearance of Decoe and Bocoe, who were sent by Eggman to go to the core room and prepare it for the "grand finale". Noticing Rouge and knowing what she is up to, Decoe and Bocoe attacks Rouge. During the stuggle, Decoe tackles Rouge and inadverdently sends her crashing into one of the Emeralds, knocking it off place and causing all of the Emeralds to deactivate.

Suddenly, havoc erupts as crystal spikes emerge everywhere, posing a threat to everyone, including Eggman. The spikes impale the Egg Dragoon, much to Eggman's shock and confusion, before it could start battling the group, severely damaging it and forcing Eggman to eject from the cockpit before it explodes. Ash calls Professor Oak, who tells him that everybody inside the mansion must leave because the Unown have lost control of their psychic energy due to the Chaos Emeralds being deactivated forcefully and recklessly. However, he and everyone else in the Pokémon Center are forced to evacuate before the building is engulfed by crystal formations. Entei creates a pathway to the stairs so that they can exit through the hole that they came in through. They exit the room just in time before the Egg Dragoon explodes, destroying the room. Amid the dangerous crystal spikes and destabilizing surroundings, the group continue running down the stairs.

The gang arrive at the hall room containing the Unown, finding the deactivated Chaos Emeralds and Rouge, Decoe and Bocoe injured from a discharge of energy the Unown unleashed when the Chaos Emeralds were deactivated. Eggman asks Decoe and Bocoe what happened, with them saying that they inadvertently caused Rouge to deactivate the Chaos Emeralds. Eggman, horrified by this, then explains to the group that now that the Chaos Emeralds has been deactivated, the Unown had lost control over the energy they'd produced, thereby causing Eggman to lose control over the Unown. Eggman also states that the Unown are trying to regain control over the energy, but they're failing to do so and that if the energy is released, it will cause a massive explosion that could crystallize the entire world. Ash tries to reach them, but is bounced back by a protective barrier. Charizard tries to break through, but with the same result. Pikachu uses Thunderbolt, but it also cannot break through. Sonic tries to break through with a Homing Attack, but to no avail. Even when Pikachu and Charizard use Thunderbolt and Flamethrower together, the barrier forces them back. Entei breaks into the room and uses Flamethrower to create a pathway so it can get through to the Unown.

Entei says to Molly that it was happy being her father, and that the last thing it could do for her is to take her out of the mansion. Entei tells her that it was created from her dreams, and that if she fully believes in Entei, that there is nothing it cannot do. Entei tries to break the barrier, but is bounced back. It uses Flamethrower to try to break through, but that also fails. Entei again tries to run and break through the barrier, asking Molly to help. Entei says to Molly to believe in it, so Molly yells "You can do it, Entei!" as Pikachu and Charizard help.

Tails then notes to the group that the energy is too strong to penatrate due to some of that energy being harnessed from the Emeralds. With no other options left, Sonic, through his and Molly's feelings and desire to protect the world, activates the Chaos Emeralds and uses them to transform into Super Sonic, much to the awe of everyone. Super Sonic dashes towards the barrier to help Entei, Pikachu and Charizard, but finds the barrier putting up a little resistance. Super Sonic then asks Molly for help, as Entei did, asking her and the group to believe in him as well, so Molly yells "I believe in you, Sonic the Hedgehog!" With the combined efforts of Pikachu, Charizard, Entei and Super Sonic, they finally manage to break through the barrier. The bright ball of light which the Unown swarmed around shines upon everyone and is about to explode, but Super Sonic quickly activates Chaos Control to send the explosion away. The light emitted from the Chaos Control and the explosion then dims to reveal Entei in a green aura and Super Sonic reverting back to normal. Entei says it must go and that Molly must keep Entei in her dreams. Entei crystallizes and disappears. The letter tiles fall to the ground and glow blue as the Unown disappear into a portal opened by Chaos Control. The crystal structure begins reverting, eventually returning Greenfield to normality.

The Unown return to the ruins where they were discovered, and enter the portal opened by Chaos Control to their own dimension. This frees Professor Hale, sending him back into the ruins where he disappeared. Everyone heads outside of the mansion and basks in the true beauty of Greenfield. Police cars and G.U.N. reinforcements arrive, containing everyone that was in the Pokémon Center approach the house. Rouge contacts the Commander and tells him that the mission is complete. Molly looks up to the skies, sees a cloud shaped like Entei, and quietly thanks it for everything. Sonic notices that Eggman, Decoe and Bocoe are gone and Tails, in response, states that they must've fled while the group wasn't looking and while the crystal formation was fading away.

Noticing the presence of law enforcement, Team Rocket conclude that they cannot exit the mansion just yet. Jessie is happy for the little girl, saying that she is adorable and indomitable just like her. James says that Entei is a powerful and inscrutable like him, and Meowth just finds himself lovable. They do not care that they did not capture a single Pokémon because they will have a chance next time.

As the credits roll, Professor Hale returns to the mansion, Charizard and Lisa depart, Sonic and Tails temporarily leave the group in the X-Tornado to go on an adventure of their own, and Ash, Misty, Brock and Pikachu go on the road again. Molly plays with a real Teddiursa by the mansion's pond, and then sees that her papa has returned and brought along her mother as well. The Hale family happily reunites.
